Following ZORBA, Naz went on to originate the role of Madame Giry in Ken Hill's PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, first in St. Louis and then in San Francisco where the show ran for a year. She returned to Broadway, originating the role of Dunyasha in Circle in the Square's production of ANNA KARENINA.
Naz then went to Toronto to do the role of Miss Mona in Stage West's production of THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS, and ended up staying for four years. While in Toronto, Naz had the opportunity to expand her talents into film, television and cartoons. Some of her television and film work there included FLAMINGO ESTATES, for John Delmage, Global TV, THE SHAMROCK CONSPIRACY, Paramount, A FINE ROMANCE, Fox, and MEET PRINCE CHARMING, Damian Lee/Clare Montorana, Producers. In the world of cartoons, Naz created many characters and voices, but her most exciting role was Wicked Queen Beryl in the English language version of the Japanese Animé series SAILOR MOON. After Toronto, Naz returned to New York City, and had the pleasure of originating the role of Mahiette in the first fullproduction of Dennis DeYoung's (Styx) THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, starring with the wonderful James Barbour and Michael Eldred in Nashville.
Back in New York after HUNCHBACK, Naz was introduced to and later married her husband, who lived in the Midwest. She continued to live and work in New York, commuting to and from the Midwest, for several years, at which time she elected to switch directions and to live with her husband. Good choice.
